Hey folks! We’re back again for another infusion of canna-knowledge that will help to make you the person people turn to when they need advice on weed, accessories, and everything in between! Speaking of which, to celebrate the rollout of our accessories webpage (which you should definitely check out), I figured now would be as good a time as any to do a list of the best accessories in the cannabis industry from a variety of categories. We’re gonna be talking about everything from bongs to rolling paper so strap in folks, it’s time to talk about hardware.
Best Bong
Since I’m a bong guy (and also the one who writes these blogs) we’re going to start with bongs! When we’re talking about what makes a bong “best”, we have to take into consideration a number of factors. First and foremost is functionality. All those dynamic curves and bends in your bong and waterpipe might looking bitchin’, but if you can’t get a smooth pull from it then what’s the point? We’ll also be considering the aesthetics of the device; cause let’s be honest we all like pretty things. To keep it simple, we’re going to be discussing two different brands of bong that embody the best of both ideals. First up, probably the prettiest bongs in the entire world, the glass from My Bud Vase is frickan next level when it comes to pretty bongs. These things are works of art designed to be displayed. Looking more like vases from the Ming dynasty than bongs, with one of these you’ll finally be able to convince your mom that the glass piece on your coffee table is for posies as opposed to ripping bowls. They also come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colors, so it’ll be easy to find one that compliments the rest of your décor. Next up, a bong that perfectly encapsulates the KISS rule (Keep It Simple Stupid), The Grav line of bongs. These bad boys are simple done right, featuring sturdy glass designs and a myriad designs and upgrades from perks to ash catchers all encapsulated in a timeless glass bong design. If you like old school bongs, this is the one for you.
Dab Rigs
Next up, Dab rigs. This can be a scary category for some people to get into, due to the sometimes-overwhelming looking rigs that most people have which feature blowtorches, complicated glass designs and a smattering of tools, wands and stop watches. Thankfully, recent innovations in this category have produced some rigs that are electronic as opposed to requiring manual heating of the bowl that your concentrate is sitting in. Of the various electronic rigs on the market, one stands above the rest: Puffco Peak. This little beauty has a gorgeous design paired with a level of ease of use that is almost ludicrous. You just set the preheat, wait, then load your concentrate and inhale. Great for groups or for getting stoney baloney on your lonesome. Puffco is also a great company for making sure that your device remains functional, providing a warranty that covers almost anything that can go sideways with this kind of device.
Best Dry Herb Vaporizer
Here’s a category we’ve talked about before in a previous blog post, where I pointed out some of the virtues of several different dry herb vapes that are designed to give you clean, flavorful hits of flower that will make you appreciate the taste of your bud more than you ever have before. At that time, I felt that the Mighty by Storz & Bickel was heads above the rest and….my opinion hasn’t changed. The Mighty and its slightly smaller sibling the Crafty, are the absolute best in class, featuring a dual heating design that provides a killer hit of vapor with every pull. The only complaint one could make about it is that the design is bulky and not the most aesthetically pleasing, but it’s a small complaint. This thing is pure function over form.
Best Grinder
Ah, the noble grinder (or buster depending on your terminology preference). While there are some people out there who don’t mind hand busting their weed with a pair of scissors, I’m lazy. I don’t want to be sitting there snipping when I could be ripping. There are a lot of different options on the market, with grinders coming in all shapes, sizes, and price points. So, picking the best one is an issue of balancing functionality with price. Thankfully, there’s the Kannastor Gr8tr. This is touted as the last grinder you’ll ever need to buy and one look at it will convince you of this lofty claim. It’s a completely modular and features different grind plates to provide you with the option to control the consistency of the weed you grind. Its teeth are tiny, sharp, and basically indestructible, ensuring that you’ll never meet a bud you can’t break down. And the cost sits at a reasonable level for the quality you’re getting, unlike some other products that base their price point on their brand.
Best Rolling Paper
Last, but certainly not least, rolling papers. When it comes to picking a “best” rolling paper, it’s tricky. People have different preferences when it comes to flavor, thickness, and the materials that the papers are refined from. For my money though, one of the best brands out there is Blazy Susan. These pink colored papers are made from hemp and burn ridiculously smooth. I have yet to see one of these papers canoe, which is saying something. They’re also vegan friendly, all natural and come in a variety of sizes. We’ve carried these fantastic papers ever since a customer recommended them to us, and they are universally beloved.
And that’s our list of the best accessories currently on the market, in these respective categories. If there’s a piece of cannabis gear that you didn’t see on here that you feel deserves a shout out, let us know in the comments!
