Strain Highlight: Jealousy
Hey folks! I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely shift in weather. At the time of this writing the sun is shining, and the air doesn’t hurt to breathe, so let’s hope that keeps up. Anyway, I hope everyone is in the mood to absorb some cannabis knowledge cause this week we’re going to be rocking another strain highlight featuring a variety of the sticky icky that turns a ton of heads: Jealousy.
Origin
Jealousy is a hybrid cannabis strain that leaves many other strains green with envy owing to its incredibly well-balanced high that features mental relaxation coupled with a boost in physical energy. Meaning you won’t be turning into a bowl full of jelly, but you also won’t be climbing your mental walls in a desperate attempt to escape the memory of that time you saw that person you liked across the schoolyard, they started waving and you waved back before realizing they were waving to their friend who happened to be standing slightly behind you and to the left a little bit. Then you tried to make it look like you were just stretching, but you knew in your heart that it was too late. Don’t feel bad, we’ve all been there.
Anywho, Jealousy is the brainchild of a dude named JBeezy (I’m gonna assume that’s not their birth name….then again who knows?) who operates under the well known and beloved Seed Junky moniker, breeding and creating awesome new strains for our burgeoning market. Seriously, check out their website for some examples of the strains that they’ve crafted, virtually every one of them is a winner. The original variation on Jealousy is a combination of the delectable Gelato 41 and Sherb BX1. This pairing results in a flavour that is both sweet and creamy while also being nice and earthy.
Effects
Like I mentioned above, Jealousy is a true hybrid, meaning it doesn’t skew too heavily into either the sativa or the indica side of things. Effect wise, this makes it a perfect strain for virtually any time of day, as long as you don’t have anything too important to do: Because potency wise, this sucker slaps. Considered a high THC strain, you aren’t likely to find Jealousy dipping below the 25% THC line which means it can potentially leave you pretty stoney baloney. Its unique balance and terpene profile that features heavy helpings of Limonene, Caryophyllene and Myrcene (aka the terpene holy trinity) make it so that this strain is perfect for people who suffer from chronic pain, depression and/or insomnia.
So, next time you’re in the market for some high potency greens, check out Jealousy! There are a few different brands that have their own spin on this delightful strain, but all of them are winners. Till next time folks!
